Sanheim remains my darkhorse to make the team out of camp...
Is Rubtsov able to play in the A since he is a transfer?

If I remember right, Rubstov is AHL eligible, but likely to take an overage year in juniors.

Interesting write-up on CSN Philly about development camp. It looks like the Russian invitee kid has impressed so-far....sounds like he stands a reasonable chance of getting a contract.

Tanner Laczynski is one of my favorite under the radar Flyers prospects. People really need to start remembering his name and not act surprised when he comes on the scene.

He is a total pro when you watch him, in every facet, and it's amazing they got him in the 6th. Not like his emergence is sudden. He tore up the USHL. Strong as a bull and impossible to knock off pucks, outstanding forechecker, good wrister, very good vision and passing, versatile as center/wing, good at draws, defensively, and all in all skilled and very very smart. He should be talked about as one of the team's better prospects, even over some bigger names, but he will be soon enough. He will be a good useful NHL player, I'm pretty sure of it. But I think his ceiling is good too. He jumped out at me immediately and has only continued to do so.

College hockey is always on TV, especially Big 10. People should try to tune in some next year.

I always tried to flip the Ohio St. games on. When I did I believe it was their playoff game and one of the announcers stated how he is the best cycling forward in college right now. Really saying something as a freshman and yes when you watch him he really holds the puck well and stop starts well. He seems very well rounded already for such a young guy. Very excited about him.

I agree, I think Sanheim is going to make it really tough not to start in the NHL. He has all the tools, I think he has the highest ceiling of any of the defensive prospects not on the Flyers.

He was leading Ohio St. in points, despite being a freshman, before the WJC. Got really sick, missed time, came back as a bottom 6 player.....but he was still one of their best players late in the season in that role. I expect big things from him this year. Wouldn't surprise me to see him ready to turn pro after this season. He was a summer birthday re-entry so this is actually his age 20 season.

Not over-age. He is 19. Just a few months older than Patrick, actually.

Can't (frank)ing believe this team passed on Karlsson, Subban, Lindblom, Weber, Lungkwist, Datsyuk, Laczynski, Rinne, Murray, Myers, and Zetterberg.

Old boys club never changes. Do you believe this city hadn't seen a championship in 572 years? A lesson in futility.

OHH.. UHHH...can you think of another city with a THREE TEAM SPORTS DROUGHT?! UNBELIEVABLE!!

The great hope being we can get a 2nd round pick for him in a trade. That is a 4 round improvement. Some would even say a bonanza

Wish I could've scooped up one of the Flyers cycling kits they put out for these rides. A move back home seems more and more appealing by the day.

Also, if anyone is interested, this is a really great story about Craig Cunningham. I was in the goal judges box when he went down that night, and I still get chills thinking about watching him go down. I, along with many others that night, thought I watched a man die right there on the ice. The Roadrunners had a night for him in late March, and as I was leaving the arena after the game I saw Cunny by himself scooting across the parking lot with his walker. I jokingly asked if on his big night they made him walk to his car by himself and he laughed and said "yep!". I told him how glad I was to see him, and he graciously said thank you and that was that. Just that small interaction, I could tell that he was a different kind of person, a person totally aware of his situation and grateful to be alive. Incredible stuff. Anyway....

Interested in your opinion. Where would you rank him against the other forward prospects? Could you make a top 15 list? Thank you in advance.

Do straight up...Same guy who traded Subban for Weber without asking for anything else.

Of course I would do it straight up but would the Habs? Galchenyuk is young with plenty of upside. Giroux' career is on the down side. I'm kinda on the side of moving G's deal out.

I would do it too.

However, it would be admitting to a rebuild...can't see the Flyers doing it this summer. If they miss again next year, next summer I think they entertain the idea of moving him.
